Overview
Intelligent Mail introduces identity scoring before a direct-mail list is committed to print.
Evaluate eligible customer records and use the returned
IH Score to prioritize the drop list,
assign an offer or mail treatment, and exclude records that do not meet your campaign criteria.
Keep each scoring result associated with its source customer record and mailing details.
Apply your score-state rules alongside address validation and existing suppression checks,
then produce the final fulfillment file for your print provider.
Complete these decisions before the print cutoff, when list selection and treatment can still be changed.
Plan response attribution before the drop by retaining the customer, campaign, and mail-treatment references
needed to connect later calls, visits, or purchases to the mailing.
As those interactions resolve, report their outcomes using
Session Disposition to inform future mail selections.
Getting Started
-
Authentication API Key
Request your private API Key if one has not yet been assigned. Use it in your server-side integration.
-
Prepare Your Audience
Prepare the eligible direct-mail records with the customer identity signals and mailing details used by your fulfillment process. Keep existing address and suppression checks in place.
-
Identity Scoring
Score the eligible identities before finalizing the print file. Review the Action API Endpoint for a custom integration and confirm the identity fields and model to use with Intelligent Handshake®.
-
Score-Based Activation
Use the six IH Score states to prioritize the drop list, select offers, and suppress records where there is no value. Apply the decisions before sending the final list to print.
-
Session Disposition Feedback Loop
Record response and conversion outcomes as they become available using Session Disposition. Preserve the customer and campaign references needed to associate the response with the original mail decision.
Plan response tracking before the first drop so later calls, visits, and conversions can feed the learning loop.
